Drift Correction in EIS

Gamry Instruments Potentiostats Galvanostats: Gamry Software

In EIS (electrochemical impedance spectroscopy), it is important to achieve stability for pseudo-stationary electrochemical systems, especially at low frequencies where the voltage (or current) can change or drift systematically. One method of dealing with this drift in a meaningful way is to apply an algorithm to the data acquisition that corrects for the drift. Gamry has developed its own method for correcting this drift, which is described in this application note.
