Production of high-energy cathodes for lithium-ion batteries with a novel electrode structure

Developers are aiming for batteries with ever higher energy and power densities, and the modification of the electrode structure plays an important role in this. One possible approach is a three-dimensional structuring of the electrodes through the use of a cellular structure (e.g. a metal foam). The homogeneous preparation of the slurries is extremely important - possibilities for this are described in this application note.
