Useful accessories for working and reference electrodesALS offers a wide range of accessories for the fabrication, care and maintenance of working and reference electrodes. Working and reference electrodes can be fabricated using carbon or silver/silver chloride paste; the polishing set can be used to clean and polish the surfaces of working electrodes; and the preservative vial prevents reference electrodes from drying out during storage.
Product Description
Carbon paste oil (CPO) is used with the corresponding base electrode bodies to produce electrodes that can be used for various purposes. The substances embedded in the matrix of the carbon paste allow the electrodes to be used, for example, as biosensors, ion-sensitive electrodes or as carriers for catalysts.
The silver/silver chloride paste is intended for use with a polymer as a binder for the production of customised reference electrodes. In this way, reference elements can be produced on IDA, lithographic ring discs or other electrodes. With chloride ions in the electrolyte, this results in a half cell with a defined potential.
The sample vials with their tip made of a porous ion-permeable glass (IPPG Ion Permeability Porous Glass) serve as salt bridges to separate electrode compartments. This allows the reference electrode, for example, to be protected from contamination.
The repair set consisting of IPPG Ion Permeability Porous Glass and Teflon shrink tubing is used to replace frits on sample holders or reference electrodes.
A high-gloss, very clean and oxide-free surface on working and rotator electrodes is a prerequisite for successful measurements and good, reproducible data. For this purpose, the electrodes are polished on a glass plate coated with a special flow using a polishing suspension with diamond or aluminium particles. The polishing set contains both suspensions and flow types as well as the glass plate. The consumables can be purchased separately as required.
