We offer both cuvettes for static applications and flow cells for continuous processes or rapid changes. A selection of different working and reference electrodes allows for flexible adaptation to a variety of measurement tasks.
Product Description
The SEC-C Thin Layer Quartz Glass Spectroelectrochemical Cell Kits utilise standard 12.5 mm thin layer cells that can be used in most spectrometers. The kits contain either platinum or gold mesh electrodes as working electrodes. We offer the kits with cuvettes with 0.5 and 1.0 mm optical path length. This allows the time for setting the reaction equilibrium to be adjusted; this is achieved more quickly in the 0.5 mm cell. When using the ALS SEC2020 spectrometer, the optically active surface of the net electrode is approx. 6 mm in diameter and is located 15 mm from the bottom of the cell. The RE-1BP or the non-aqueous RE-7 can be used as reference electrodes.
The SEC-3F Spectroelectrochemical flow cell has been developed for optimised use directly on the SEC2020 spectrometer; there is no need for additional optical fibres to connect the cell to the spectrometer or beam source. Additional collimators are available for use with spectrometers from other manufacturers or for using the measuring cell in a glove box, for example, and two fibres connect the cell to the spectrometer or beam source.
The SEC-3F spectroelectrochemical flow cell offers flexible adjustment of the optical path length by changing the seals. Silicone and PTFE seals with a thickness of 100, 250 and 500 µm are available. Quartz glass plates with gold, platinum or carbon grid electrodes are available as working electrodes. Or ITO (indium tin tungsten oxide) coated glass can be used.
We offer the RE-3VT or the non-aqueous RE-7VT as a screw-in, O-ring-sealed reference electrode.
