Büchi Miniclave
Büchi Miniclave
Modularity and safety for a wide range of pressure applications in steel and glass vesselsA flexible reactor system suitable for a variety of applications, available with either steel or glass reactors ranging from 100 to 300 ml. Visual process control and monitoring of your reaction can be carried out in the glass reactors up to 10 bar. When using steel reactors, you can operate at pressures of up to 100 bar and optionally use PTFE liners.
Product Description
Flexible small reactor system for a wide range of applications.
The borosilicate glass reactor is characterised by high acid resistance and enables visual process control and monitoring. The 10 bar glass reactors are available between 100 and 300 ml (for smaller volumes from 10 ml, see “tinyclave“) and can optionally be replaced with steel reactors up to 100 bar. The steel reactors are also available with PTFE inliners to increase corrosion resistance.
The temperature control of the single-walled reactors is often carried out with combined heating and magnetic plates in order to achieve the necessary mixing by means of a stirring rod.
The lid structure can be customised according to your requirements. Numerous laboratory pressure reactor accessories and/or sensors can be attached to the miniclave via the four lid openings.

Options and Accessories
• Type 3 steel reactors for applications involving higher pressures and temperatures;
standard specifications are 100 bar and 250°C, with higher specifications available on request
• PTFE liners with lids
• Interchangeable glass reactors ranging from 100 to 300 ml also allow testing with smaller or larger volumes. Scale-up
• With heat-resistant fittings, catalyst screenings can also be carried out simultaneously with multiple systems in a single oven.
• The use of a septum adapter enables small-volume dosing and sampling.
• Miniclave inert, universal pressure reactor that can be operated with various interchangeable glass reactors. All wetted materials are ‘non-metallic’ and chemically inert.
Applications
• In-situ measurement of hydrogenation kinetics on liquid hydrogen carriers
• High-temperature polyamides from renewable raw materials
• Büchi Picoclave for teaching and research – catalyst production and analysis
