High-current potentiostats / galvanostats Kolibrik PTC series
The PTC series is used for measurements with high current requirements, e.g. for the characterisation of electrolysers or fuel cellsThe 4-quadrant potentiostats/galvanostats of the PTC series are available with four power ranges up to max. ±100A@±5V. Impedance spectroscopy (EIS) is possible via two channels between 1 mHz and 100 kHz. This means that tasks in general electrochemical synthesis, from water splitting and alkaline CO2 conversion to fuel cells and other energy storage and conversion concepts, can also be successfully mastered on larger surfaces with higher material conversion and higher current requirements.
Product Description
With 4 measuring ranges from the mA range to the respective maximum current and with an accuracy of 0.1%, the four different PTC systems enable currents from 20 to max. 100 amps.
Commercial single battery cells as well as fuel cells, redox flow batteries, electrolysers and single cells of other energy storage and conversion concepts as well as cell stacks can be characterised within the available potential window of ± 5 V or ± 10 V.
Accuracy Contour Plot (ACP) and Precision Contour Plot provide a detailed view of the EIS performance of the systems down to the µΩ range.
The limiting performance of power cables with high-frequency alternating currents due to the so-called skin effect is taken into account and optimised with the lowest possible inductance.
The PTC systems can be operated free-standing or in a 19″ rack. Up to ±5 V and ±50 A, the systems work with ventilation cooling; the systems with higher voltages or currents work with water cooling.
