SPEX Press 3622
SPEX Press 3622
Production of IR and RFA moulded parts – fast and cost-effective... the SPEX 3622 manual lever press – the ‘all-rounder’ with a pressure range of up to 22.7 tonnes, suitable for use with a wide variety of moulding toolsOnce the safety window has been closed, the desired pressure for producing the moulded part is applied manually using the hand lever; this can be read on the pressure gauge. Both the duration of the pressure application and the duration of the pressure release period are controlled manually by the user.
Product Description
For spectral analysis methods, the sample material is often brought into tablet form with a very smooth surface. This is done by pressing from a powdery material.
The lack of reproducibility is often a major problem here. The SPEX Press 3622 is a manually operated hand lever press with a maximum pressure of 22.7 tonnes, which is set manually. The press can be used with 13 mm, 31 mm, 35 mm and 40 mm pressing tools. To protect the operator, the press has a viewing window that is locked during the pressing process. It is a simple, robust tool for the production of compacts for XRF, IR or other analytical techniques. Typical samples are: Cement, rock, minerals, soil samples, ceramics, pharmaceuticals.
We offer a wide range of accessories for all presses and for the actual analysis, such as pressing tools in various diameters (13, 31, 35 and 40 mm), aluminium cups and pressing aids for your individual requirements. The pressing tools for the production of KBr pellets for IR and XRF spectroscopy consist of an evacuable body with lower part, pressing plunger and vacuum seal, two polished steel pressing discs and an ejection ring for the pellets.
