The ARV-10k Twin is the largest commercially available vacuum planetary centrifugal mixer in the world. With a capacity of 2 x 10 litres (net) or 2 x 10 kg (net), it is suitable for a wide range of production applications. The integrated PLC control system and the adjustable worm gear provide maximum flexibility in settings. Enables contact-free mixing, dispersing and degassing without foaming, directly in the beaker and without a stirring element!


Thanks to the integrated vacuum pump, even the smallest air bubbles are expelled.





Product Description

The ARV-10k Twin is a non-contact vacuum planetary centrifugal mixer for mixing, dispersing and degassing pasty materials in a single work step and within a short time for small-scale production up to 10 kg net.

The highly efficient mixing process results from the superimposition of two movements of the mixing container – a centrifugal and a rotational movement. As the technology does not require an agitator, the sample material is not destroyed by high gravitational forces, e.g. from fibrous or microencapsulated components caused by agitators.

To remove gas bubbles below 10µm or at higher viscosities (e.g. with epoxy resins, silicones or other fast-curing adhesive systems), external vacuum chambers and a separate work step are conventionally used. A major advantage of the Thinky vacuum mixer is that the user can mix and degas in one step and in the same container. The continuous circulation of the sample also significantly increases the effectiveness of degassing. The difference is often only visible under the microscope.

The vacuum pump is specified up to 7 mbar and is fully integrated into the housing and the control electronics of this device.

Even media that tend to foam under vacuum can be processed without any problems, as this is effectively prevented by the centrifugal force.

The device has an infinitely variable gear with which the inherent rotation can be set separately from the centrifugal speed, up to a maximum ratio of 1:1 at a maximum of 350 revolutions per minute (corresponds to the maximum inherent rotation speed).

As a production device, the ARV-10k Twin has a particularly robust design and is equipped with overtemperature protection.

The entire process is controlled via a touchscreen on the programmable logic controller. You can save mixing programmes consisting of up to 10 steps of speed, time and pressure. The software allows numerous settings, e.g. how and when the vacuum should be broken, and can be adapted to the customer’s requirements by reprogramming.
