On the use of the Büchi “midiclave” pressure reactor in the synthesis of strongly enantiomeric enriched fragrances

Many synthetically produced fragrances are not easily biodegradable and are harmful to humans and the environment. This application note describes how manufacturing processes can be optimised on a laboratory scale using a pressure reactor and defned hydrogen dosing using the example of enantiomer-rich fragrances.
