RRDE-3A Rotator for measurements on rotating disc or ring-disc electrodesThe RRDE-3A rotator enables measurements to be taken on rotating disc or ring-disc electrodes. By adjusting the rotational speed and thus the hydrodynamic conditions, diffusion can be precisely controlled during voltammetric measurements. A range of materials is available for the working electrodes; furthermore, the electrodes with interchangeable discs allow for pre-treatment or the use of custom materials.
Product Description
The RRDE-3A rotator uses a PPL (Phase Locked Loop) circuit to precisely control the set speed of the electrode. The system also offers an adjustable valve system for inert gas purging in the measuring cell.
The speed can be controlled by an analogue input signal, the valves by a digital clock signal from a suitable potentiostat.
The measuring cell is easy to rinse, clean and replace. The working, counter and reference electrodes are easy to change thanks to the good accessibility.
The rotating electrodes are quick and easy to replace and the electrode body is made of chemically almost inert poly-ether-ether-ketone (PEEK). Various electrode materials are available.
The change disc and ring disc electrodes allow the disc electrode to be changed easily so that self-coated, machined or special materials can be examined. With the appropriate toolkit, the discs can be reliably assembled, disassembled and polished.
