Gamry evaluation cell for battery materials (LIB)
Gamry evaluation cell for battery materials (LIB)
The design of the evaluation cell for lithium-ion battery (LIB) materials allows for highly flexible investigation of electrode materials in a lithium-based galvanic cell. The evaluation cell for lithium-ion battery (LIB) materials is available in ‘Standard’, ‘Half-cell’ and ‘Full-cell’ versions, offering great flexibility for the assembly and disassembly of up to three electrodes made from foil, wire or bulk material within a glove box in a lithium-based galvanic cell.
Product Description
The evaluation measuring cell for battery materials (LIB) in the “half cell” version (990-00344 = Half Cell Kit) consists of a large foil holder for a circular sample body and two small foil holders for foil or wire material. The two small foil holders are used to accommodate a reference electrode and a counter electrode. In this configuration, anode and cathode materials applied individually to the circular sample body can be analysed independently of each other.
The “Full Cell” configuration (990-00342 = Full Cell Kit) contains two large foil holders, e.g. for circular sample bodies, and one small foil holder for foil or wire material. In this configuration, two circular sample bodies with their applied anode (e.g. Al) and cathode materials (Cu) can be analysed side by side. The difference between the Standard Kit (990-00343 = Standard Cell Kit) and the “Whole Cell” configuration are two 1.5 mm substrate holders instead of the two large foil holders for attaching substrates and immersing them in electrolyte.
