Gamry Paint Test Cell (PTC1) – Corrosion measurement cell or EIS measurement cell for coatings
Gamry Paint Test Cell (PTC1) – Corrosion measurement cell or EIS measurement cell for coatings
The corrosion measurement cell or EIS measurement cell for coatings is Gamry’s smallest and most cost-effective electrochemical measurement cell kit.For the investigation of corrosion processes in masked surface areas or EIS measurements on coatings, this cell is so cost-effective that many users also employ Gamry’s smallest electrochemical cell, with an electrolyte volume of approximately 40 ml, for the simultaneous analysis of several specimens placed side by side.
Product Description
The design of the corrosion measuring cell or EIS measuring cell for coatings is elegantly simple and therefore cost-saving. The flat sample body is clamped onto a polypropylene (PP) base with a glass tube, sealing an O-ring with a metal clamp.
For bare metal surfaces, defined surface-releasing masks must also be glued on to prevent crevice corrosion. The glass tube is then filled with electrolyte up to ¾ of the fill level and sealed with a rubber stopper. This rubber stopper contains recesses for a reference electrode and a graphite rod as a counter electrode.
