Gamry ParaCell – Measurement Cell Kit: Galvanic Corrosion and Electrochemical Noise
Gamry ParaCell – Measurement Cell Kit: Galvanic Corrosion and Electrochemical Noise
The measuring cell set for galvanic corrosion measurements and electrochemical noise enables the analysis of a wide range of flat specimens, either in relation to a graphite counter-electrode or a second working electrode in a symmetrical configuration. The Galvanic Corrosion and Electrochemical Noise Measurement Cell Set brings the working electrode and counter electrode into contact with one another via the 300 ml electrolyte capacity, ensuring that the electrode surfaces are identical. This fulfils the requirements for both electrochemical noise measurements and galvanic corrosion current measurements using a zero-resistance ammeter.
Product Description
For corrosion measurements using a potentiostat or galvanostat, the working electrode is attached to the polycarbonate end plate with the screw clamp of the base body via the contact body, in which a reference electrode is already screwed into the orthogonal Luggin capillary via the #11 Ace – Thred with the corresponding threaded bush.
A graphite block is attached to the opposite end plate as a counter electrode. Both end plates expose an electrode surface of 2.6 cm2 in contact with electrolytes, which can be additionally masked in the centre with an adhesive foil to avoid gap conditions at the working electrode.
For corrosion measurements using a zero resistance ammeter, a working electrode is attached to one end plate with the screw clamp of the base body via the contact body, while the second working electrode is attached to the opposite end plate. Both end plates expose an electrode surface of 2.6 cm2 in contact with electrolytes, both of which can be additionally masked in the centre with an adhesive film to avoid gap conditions. Ideally, the potential of the working electrode and the potential of the counter electrode can then be recorded simultaneously with the reference electrode due to the identical mixed potential of this galvanic chain.
