Product Description

The ARV-931Twin is a non-contact vacuum planetary centrifugal mixer for mixing, dispersing and degassing material in a single work step and within a short time. This highly efficient mixing process results from the superimposition of two movements of the mixing container – a centrifugal and a rotational movement.

Thinky mixers with twin container holders are particularly suitable for cases where as many identical samples as possible need to be processed in the shortest possible time or where duplicate determinations are required. The ARV-931Twin is designed as a small production device capable of continuous operation and is correspondingly robust.

To remove gas bubbles below 10µm or at higher viscosities (e.g. with epoxy resins, silicones or other fast-curing adhesive systems), external vacuum chambers and a separate work step are conventionally used. A major advantage of the Thinky vacuum mixer is that the user can mix and degas in one step and in the same container. The continuous circulation of the sample also significantly increases the effectiveness of degassing. The difference is often only visible under the microscope.

The vacuum pump is specified up to 7 mbar and is fully integrated into the housing and the control electronics of this device. This offers various advantages, such as particularly quiet operation, savings in working space or optimised pressure control with short hose lengths. We install high-quality vacuum pumps based on the rotary vane principle from German brand manufacturers that have proven their robustness countless times in the field.

In this appliance, the vacuum pump is integrated into the right-hand side of the appliance with a slide attachment to improve accessibility.

With its ratio of 1:2 in mixing mode, the mixer is suitable for a wide viscosity range and is also capable of mixing materials with high density differences for a long time.
The patented degassing mode is particularly suitable when low boilers would prevent the use of vacuum. Here, the centrifugal speed is increased to better expel air bubbles and the inherent rotation is reduced to minimise the circulation rate and thus also the self-heating of the medium.

Even media that tend to foam under vacuum can be processed without any problems, as this is effectively prevented by the centrifugal force.

The entire process is programme-controlled. You can define up to 20 mixing programmes consisting of up to 10 steps, consisting of speed, time and pressure.
