Product Description

Thanks to its robust frame with reactor lift, the Büchi Kiloclave is particularly suitable for larger reactors and process engineering set-ups. Up-scaling processes can also be easily carried out in systems between 0.5 and 20 litres. The interchangeable pressure vessels are available in steel, Hastelloy and other special alloys. All reactors are also available with sight glasses for visual process control or as a fill level indicator.
The hydraulic reactor lift with swivelling function provides the necessary safety, especially for larger pressurised reactors. It enables safe, quick and easy opening and cleaning of the pressurised reactor.
Thanks to the large number of openings in the cover plate, the cover structure can be customised to your requirements. A large selection of pressure reactor accessories is available for this purpose. Additional sensors can also be fitted and the respective data displayed and processed by the Büchi display units. This modular design allows the reactor to be customised for new specific applications, e.g. for dosing liquids, solids or gas.
By using FDA-compliant seals, pharmaceutical and food applications are also possible with the Kiloclave. There are also standard items for applications in hazardous areas. All relevant components, such as sensors, agitator drive and magnetic coupling, are designed for ATEX Zone 1.

Options and Accessories

The Kiloclave offers a wide range of options and the ability to fit pressure reactor accessories or process-specific assemblies:

• Corrosion-resistant, inert Kiloclave: All components in contact with the product are either metal-free and chemically virtually inert, or made from special alloys such as tantalum and titanium, particularly where higher pressures are required.

• Safety quick-release fastener for safe, fast and easy operation

• Process setups – The robust frame also allows for the attachment of large setups, such as distillation accessories, and can be used in fume cupboards or as a mobile unit as required.

• The Polyclave meets heightened safety and quality requirements with the ATEX agitator and components options, as well as the optional use of FDA-compliant materials.

• Temperature control can be achieved either via a double jacket or the optional electric heater with integrated water cooling and PID controller.

• Space requirements – compact Kiloclave frame for smaller fume cupboards.

• Manufactured to China Stamp or with ASME certification.
